East China Normal University (ECNU) affiliated to the Ministry of the Education of PRC is one of the most prestigious universities in China and is sponsored by the national programs “Project 211” and “Project 985”. The Faculty of Education, established in 2014, accelerate its step to the influential education subjects of the world-class. Supported by the “Project of Peak Subjects Establishment in Shanghai” and the “Platform of Education Fairness and Collaborative Innovation”, the Faculty of Education are working on establishing a high-quality educational and research institution, and afirst-class think tank of education with Chinese characteristics domestically and internationally.
The Department of Education has two national key disciplines and three disciplines set independently. Identified as the national key discipline in 1988, Educational Principle concentration is one of the first doctor’s degree authorization centres in China , the post-doctoral research stations of ECNU and the key disciplines in the “211 Project”,. The Department of Education focuses on the exploration of basic and principle of education and pedagogics, actively promote the theory innovation and pay attention to the educational policy study. Moreover, the Department of Education keeps eyes on the schools’ reform and explore the localized path of education practice. The History of Education concentration was established by the famous educator Xiancheng Meng, the first president of ECNU. This subject is the core base of the education history research and the cultivation of high level talented person. The History of Education has the advantages on the collection and collation of education literature, the research of the history of Chinese and foreign education development, and the educational communication between China and foreign countries. A great amount of research books and historical and educational materials have been published and a lot of professional academic talents have been cultivated.

c) Zijiang Outstanding Young Scholar: under the age of 45; with doctor’s degree or post-doctor research experience in high-level university or research institution; some influential academic attainments and willing to be the lead researcher. attain “Distinguished Professors of Changjiang Scholars Program”, “Outstanding Young Investigator Award”, etc after 5 years. or the same level. Annual salary:￥250,000 at least (department benefits are not included); housing allowances and research fund can be discussed face to face.
d) Zijiang Young Scholar: under the age of 45; doctor’s degree or post-doctor research experience in high-level university or research institution; some influential academic attainments and great potential of development. After 5 years, employees should attain “Young Talents”, “National Outstanding Young”, etc. or the same level. Annual salary:￥150,000 at least (department benefits are not included); housing allowances and start-up research fund can be discussed face to face.
e) Full-time researcher: Annual salary: 1) researcher￥200,000 —￥250,000 (pre-tax); 2) associate researcher￥150,000 —￥200,000 (pre-tax); 3) research assistant￥80,000 —￥100,000 (pre-tax); 4) post-doctor researcher ￥100,000 —￥150,000 (pre-tax); enjoy the social insurance and the housing public accumulation funds as the employee s at the same level, the temporary houses (or post-doctor apartment), the favorable policy of entering school for children and the rewarding regulations for research.Professional researchers can get the promotion in the sequence of professional positions and apply for the positions of teachers when being in line with the relevant qualifications.
