In the Past Four Years, the Department of Education Has Won Five Education Major Projects of National Social Science Fund

During 2015 to 2018, the Department of Education, East China Normal University, has won five education major projects of National Social Science Fund, which accounts for nearly 30% of the total number in similar subjects nationally and ranks first among the national education departments.



2015

Project:Study on the Implementation Strategy of General High School Level Examination and Comprehensive Quality Evaluation to Meet the Requirements of New College Entrance Examination

Project Introduction:

In the three-year study, the project team cooperated with the research strengths of Peking University, Fudan University, Zhejiang Normal University, Henan University, Shanghai New York University, etc., and supported by the relevant departments of the Ministry of Education, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu Provinces. The following is a series of policy consultation reports, academic papers and books on key issues such as the improvement of the academic level examination system, the improvement of the comprehensive quality evaluation system, the enrollment rights and capacity building of colleges and universities, the supporting resources for the college entrance examination reform, and the effectiveness of pilot provinces and municipal reforms. After three years of research, the project was completed on June 9, 2018 and was rated as excellent.



2016

Project: Comparative Study on Main Indicators and Development Trends of China and OECD Education Development

Chief Expert: Prof. Huang Zhongjingd

Project Introduction:

The research objective is to investigate the historical development process of OECD education indicators, and to compare the development process of China and OECD education indicators; analyze the current major educational indicators of OECD, and compare the framework and content of China and OECD education indicators; clarify the relationship between educational indicators and educational development by using a number of key indicators to analyze and compare the development of education in China and OECD countries; predict relevant educational indicators and future trends in educational development, and propose relevant policy recommendations for Chinese educational development. Its practical value is to compare Chinese education in the world coordinate system, evaluate the level of education development in China, and find its own position, advantages and disadvantages in comparison. Since the completion of the project in November 2016, the seminar has held many seminars and published many research results. It is currently in the in-depth research stage and will be organized in 2019.



2016

Project: Research on China's Education Governance System and Governance Capability Modernization Strategy

Project Introduction:

Guided by the "Five Development Concepts", the project aims at the 2030 national governance system modernization and education development vision, taking the Law-based governance and Law-based education as principles, aiming at building new relationships between government, schools and society, exploring and constructing a theoretical system and practice model of educational governance with Chinese characteristics, paying attention to the government's ability to govern according to law, social participation ability and the school's self-sponsored learning ability, supporting and guaranteeing the legal, institutional and technical aspects of the modernization of the education governance system, predicting the modernization of the national education governance system and governance capacity. After the topic started in November 2016, the members of the research group focused on educational value guidance, priority development, education leadership improvement, standardization, planning and guidance, classification management, self-sponsorship, information-driven, lifelong learning, global education governance, and Law-based education. More than ten papers have been published in Education Research and Global Education Outlook. The subject is in the comprehensive research stage and will be organized in 2019.



2017

Project: Research on China's Education Development Goals and Promotion Strategy in 2030

Project Introduction:

This topic is aimed at the development of China's education modernization in 2030. It explores how to establish a creative, imaginative and sustainable development goal for the future of Chinese education, and establish the overall goal to achieve this goal. Specifically, it includes the following research contents: (1) Research on the vision and goal of China's educational modernization development in 2030; (2) Chinese education modernization promotion strategy research driven by the 2030 goal; (3) Feasibility study on education modernization goals and strategies in different regions of China (4) Feasibility study on the goals and strategies of education modernization in different types and different sections of China; (5) Research on institutional and policy guarantees of Chinese educational development goals and strategies in 2030.



2018

Project: Research on the Perfection of the Education System Adapted to the Aged Society

Chief Expert: Prof. Wu Zunmin

Project Introduction:

The research is based on Professor Wu Zunmin's Key Bidding Project of 2015 National Education Science Planning Research on the Path and Mechanism of China's Lifelong Education System Construction, and further consider how the new education system should address the adaptation of the aging society. Nineteenth National Congress Report clearly pointed out that it is necessary to actively respond to the aging of the population, and education first is one of the important measures to actively respond. This study believes that by perfecting the existing education system, it is possible to create a good environment that can adapt to the development of an aging society. At the same time, through the improvement of the quality of the whole people, we can solve the contradiction between the growing needs of the people in the new era and the imbalance of social development to laid a solid foundation for the sustainable development of society.
