The Institute of Schooling Reform and Development, the Department of Education Held a Research Demonstration Project’s Report Conference of Major and Key Projects of Education in 2017th National Social Science Fund of "The 13th Five-Year Plan"

A research demonstration project’s report conference of major and key projects of Education in 2017th National Social Science Fund of "The 13th Five-Year Plan" presided by Yang Xiaowei(the chair of the National Institute of Schooling Reform and Development and the professor of the Department of Education ) and Ding Gang(the professor of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Education) in Room 1113 ,Liberal Arts Building at 9 a.m. on October 17th,2017. Wang Rongming--vice president of East China Normal University--attended the opening ceremony of the conference and delivered a speech. Huo Jiucang--deputy director of the Social Science Department--presided over the opening ceremony. Headed byProfessor Zhang Minxuan from Shanghai Normal University, the experts’ group of demonstration project including professor Yang Rui from University of Hong Kong, professor Sun Jieyuan from Guangxi Normal University, professor Wang Jian from Yunnan Normal University, professor Huang Zhongjing from East China Normal University, etc. They listened and reviewed the demonstrating report. The relevant members of the project group and some teachers and students participated in the demonstration conference.

After professor Ding Gang finished his report, professor Yang Xiaowei made his report about his project-- Research on Development Goal and Promotion Strategy of China's Education in 2030, which is the major subject of Education in 2017th National Social Science Fund of "The 13th Five-Year Plan" at 10 a.m..

 The experts group made comments about prof. Yang’s project when he finished his statement. They thought the topic selection has both practical significances and theoretical values. Specific performances: 1.making clear goals and directions of development are beneficial for both China and Chinese education under the unrest and disorder in the era of globalization. 2.China owns the traditions and experiences about how to plan well when facing the problems and it is a demand for our Chinese education to make a good preparation and look forward to the 2030 development. 3.it has a strong theoretical value to make a breakthrough in the concept and methods in the research development goal and strategy of multi-disciplinary education.

And the experts group also gave some useful suggestions for research. 1.the researchers should clarify the relationship between tradition and modern, China and other countries, pay more attention to Chinese traditional culture and education, recognize where Chinese education persistence is, find Chinese future spirits. 2. they should strengthen research the development goals and prospects of Chinese society 2030, forecast the social background and social conditions of the education development in 2030. 3.they should compare international experiences with Chinese and make a summary about local experiences, analysis of the developed countries in the development of the society demanding on the education stage and its realization path, summarizes the educational development strategies since the reform and opening up China in order to provide international experiences and local foundations for research. 4. the research should be academic and professional in value orientations of education in 2030 and set up the rational design for goal systems and development strategies.


In experts’ opinion, although the project was difficult to study, the professional research team constituted reasonable, the foundation for research was solid, the research design was rational and scientific and it was feasible and practical. Based on this, the experts’ group believed that the research team can accomplish the research tasks better, and make corresponding theoretical and practical contributions to the strategic promotion and future development of Chinese education.
