The Department of Education held a 2017th Freshman Orientation Conference

A 2017th Freshman Orientation Conference was held in Room 913 of Liberal Arts Building at 8:30 a.m. September 11th. Huang Zhongjing  (Chair of the Department), Wang Lunxin  (Party Branch Secretary of the Department), Cheng Liang  (Deputy Chair of the Department), Dong Xuan  (Party Branch Deputy Secretary of the Department), Wang Yaqiong  (Teaching Secretary of the Department), Du Mingfeng  (2017th Instructor) and about 70 postgraduates and doctoral candidates attended the conference. The conference was presided over by Mingfeng Du.

Mr. Huang extended a warm welcome to the new students, and he made a brief introduction about our school, faculty and department. Mr. Huang encouraged everyone to make full use of the various of resources and platforms offered by the school, the faculty and the department, and strive to explore their potentials and abilities in scientific researches, and complete the tasks of learning at the graduate level successfully.

Mr. Cheng made a detailed introduction to students about teaching and research for helping them establish the attention about academic norms and the consciousness for paper-published. And he reminded students to plan their academic school life in order to lay a good foundation for their future life at the beginning of studying.

Mr. Dong introduced the students’ work, emphasizing the importance of rules and regulations on the cohesion of an organization, and illustrating the various aspects of the projects’ fundings and scholarships from the department, the faculty and the school.

Ms. Wang introduced the operation problems about online course selections. And she reminded students to finish public compulsory courses which set up on the school level as soon as possible, so as not to affect their later assessment and graduation.

Mr. Wang encouraged everyone to strengthen their political and ideological education, study hard, love life, and pay attention to their mental and physical health and safety.

Mr. Du communicated with the new students about their learning, life and other aspects for the next three years, encouraging everyone to enrich their spare time while finishing their studies.
