Leading by Mr. Tao who is the Retired Party Branch Secretary, five graduate students made a point of visiting the retired teachers form our department—Zhai Huiwen、Ye Huizhen、Lin Kecheng on June 28th, 2017. They are now living in Jinqiuchenxi Resthome in Baoshan.
Ms. Zhai is the graduate tutor of Mr. Tao. She is 94 years old who could be called the older scholars witnesses the development of our Department. Although Ms.Zhai is old enough, she looks hale and hearty and very happy when we come to visit her. Through talking with Ms. Zhai, we know lots of stories and older scholars just like her, such as Gao Junshan、Yan Xinzhe、Chen Kemei、Zhu Youhuan、Cao Fu、Wu Tang、Ma Jixiong、Zhang Ruifan、Qu Baokui、Zhang Jiaxiang、Du Diankun、Jin Yiming、Shi Liangfang and so on.
After visiting Ms. Zhai, Mr. Tao and our students came to visit other two teachers--Ye Huizhen and Lin Kecheng. Represented our department, Mr. Tao expressed condolences and was grateful to them for their contributions to our Department. And two teachers also expressed their appreciations to our Department.
The Department of Education has started a series of graduate innovation and entrepreneurship projects since last Autumn Semester. “ Re-reading classics and pass the flame project” is one of the five projects which encourages us to inherit profound academic traditions、organizational culture and academic thoughts by discovering and sorting out the writings or materials our older generation of scholars left since the department has been set up. It can make us learn more history about our department and have a deep and real understanding of the older generation of scholars. So let’s inherit fine traditions and make the better future.
