On the 29th May, 2019, the third postgraduate academic forum of Department of Education was held in room 913 of liberal arts building. This forum was aimed at providing postgraduates with opportunities for academic exchange and sharing and improving their research capacities. Professor Huang Zhongjing, Wang Baoxing, Fan Guorui, Huang Shuguang and Peng Xinqiang were invited to attend this forum. Besides, Liu Qidi, the director of editorial department of the magazine named Curriculum, Teaching Material and Method, was invited as a commented guest. The forum which was sponsored by the postgraduate association of the Department of Education, was divided into two sessions, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
First of all, the host Wang Baoxing made a brief introduction about guests. Then the head Huang Zhongjing gave an opening address for this forum, he expressed the welcome to the students presented and guests, showing that the focus of work of the Department of Education was talents cultivation and the ‘three major plans’ about it have achieved initial success. What’s more, the postgraduate academic forum has become an important platform to cultivate academic capacities. Finally, Professor Huang showed his hope for the success of this forum.
Then students reported their research results one by one and then the guests made some specific comments. On the basis of approving their efforts, teachers pointed out the problems existed in their research, and further proposed valuable suggestions on the research question, the logic of articles as well as the language, all of which offered students a great amount of inspiration for their follow-up researches.
Later, the teacher Wang Baoxing published the results of paper evaluation. In doctoral group, the first prize: Hou Haoxiang; the second prize: Qian Xiaomin and Wang Dan; the third prize: Liu Zhi, Sun Xiaoxue and Fan Yong. In master’s group, the first prize: Zhou Kaiyi; the second prize: Huang Jiale and Wang Qian; the third prize: He Mengrui , Huang Miaomiao and Wei Lincui.
In the end, guests gave awards to students and they took photos together. Moreover, guests encouraged students to make additional efforts, striving for the better development in their academic lives.
