Two Economist and Educator from Norway Were Invited to Report by The Department of Education

At 8:30 a.m., April 4th, Mr. Alexander W. Cappelen from Norwegian School of Economics and Mr. Tom Are Trippestad from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences were invited to report in the Department of Education. Mr. Huang Zhongjing presided it.

Mr. Alexander discussed the formation of justice idea and its factors. He introduced three ideas of the research. First, how the social preference of children comes to be? This research has published in Science, 2010. Second, the comparation of social preference between different people. Mr. Alexander and his team chose America and Norway to compare and raised two questions: “Does it exist the difference of social preference between America and Norway” and “what bring about the unfair acceptance”. Third, the cause-effect of educational institutions and social preference. Mr. Alexander raised new question: what does the educational institutions do to the formation of social preference?

Mr. Tom Are shared his new research in teacher education The Struggle for Teacher Education: International Perspectives on Governance and Reforms. This book is one of the series Reinventing Teacher Education. From the perspective of teacher educator and researcher, the book discusses real effect of the governance and reform of teacher education in different countries and rethinks the reform mode of teacher education.

At the end of report, Mr. Huang Zhongjing reviewed the whole content and combined with Chinese reality to expand it. He thought this report was abundant and unique. He encouraged students to master the research method and broaden research scope of mind.
