The 2018th school anniversary academic report of Department of Education(National Institute of Schooling Reform and Development) (Part One)  was held at 2 p.m. 17th, October, 2018. Seven teachers, Fan Guorui, Tang Hanwei, Huang Zhongjing, Yang Xiaowei, Bu Yuhua, Cheng Liang and Yang Guangfu, shared the report each around the 13th Five-Year National Philosophical Society project. There are about a hundred teachers and students from the Department and other departments attended the report meeting. The meeting was presided over by professor Huang Shuguang.

Prof. Fan Guorui


Professor Fan Guorui shared his report about Research on the modernization strategy of educational governance system and governance capacity in China. On the basis of analyzing the contemporary problems of educational governance in China, Prof. Fan refined the logic of educational governance in China and studied the strategy of educational governance. Prof. Fan believed that the difficulty in the modernization of educational governance system and governance capacity lied in the government, the key point should rely on the establishment information of an open and transparent mechanism of educational governance, and he thought that the foothold is in schools, In order to protect schools’ rights, government should establish and improve the mechanism of educational rule of law and the regulation of the responsibility and rights of all relevant stakeholders according to law.


Prof. Tang Hanwei


The theme shared by Professor Tang Hanwei is "Research on the evolution of Social Studies Curriculum in the United States”.Prof. Tang briefly introduced the background of his research, combined with his experiences in moral education research, put forward four research directions: return to life, cultural consciousness, reconstruction of society, system reform. Regarding to the study and reference of the advanced educational ideas from the major developed countries in Europe and America, Prof. Tang believed that the criteria for reference should be carefully grasped and should not be simply took brings the principle, and it should be used as a mirror to reflect on our existing problems and shortcomings, so as to study the corresponding countermeasures.


Prof. Huang Zhongjing


Professor Huang Zhongjing shared the theme called Is China a powerful country in education?Through the international comparative study of the main indicators of education development between China and OECD, Prof. Huang analyzed and responded to the above problems with data content. Prof. Huang said that the gap between China and the Great Power country are obvious in terms of input indicators. In terms of process indicators, the performance of Chinese education is mixed. In terms of output indicators, Chinese education has shown a good performance level. Based on this, he proposed to continue to increase investment in education, increase the soft indicators of the education process and pay attention to the social benefits of education output.


Prof. Yang Xiaowei


The theme shared by Professor Yang Xiaowei is The focus of education development goals and strategy research in 2030. Prof. Yang believed that the focus of modernization of education lied in educating people with culture, and put forward  to six value dimensions of educational modernization, science, democracy, rule of law, fairness, openness and sustainable development.The goal of the research should respond to the needs of China's population change, economic development, scientific and technological innovation, cultural change and other fields in the next 15 years, study the development visions and core objectives of education in China 2030/2035, and focus on some important fields in strategic research, such as preschool education, rural education, community education, etc..


Prof. Bu Yuhua


The theme shared by Professor Bu Yuhua is Multidimensional Children's Image and Its Educational Implication under the Reconstruction of Classroom Space. Prof. Bu introduced the background of the research —the ideas, problems, perspectives and methods of the research briefly. According to what was said by Prof. Bu, there were power problems in classroom space. We should distinguish between power and authority, and be vigilant of the authority power. The reconstruction of classroom power space and the promotion of children's self-image can not ignore the importance of pedagogical standpoint.


Prof. Cheng Liang


Professor Cheng Liang shared the theme of Selectivity of curriculum: how is it possible? In recent years, increasing selectivity has become a key word in the field of education reform. On this basis, Mr. Cheng analyzed why choice has become a problem.Taking the selectivity of curriculum as an example, he explored the motivation, foundation and realization of the choice, and then put forward the path to promote the choice. He believed that a complete curriculum construction and selection mechanism should be established, such as pointing to key competencies, paying attention to subject entities, moving towards intrinsic value, strengthening development guidance and establishing curriculum review and so on.


Associated Prof. Yang Guangfu


The theme shared by Associated Professor Yang Guangfu is The organization and management of Class-Selection System inAmerican high schools. Mr.Yang introduced the progress of the research firstly, and then explained the reasons, premises, characteristics and other aspects of Class-Selection, and put forward five points of thinking about student management under the background of the New College Entrance Examination in China. Mr.Yang believed that we should train and match professional instructors as soon as possible; make full use of the network to strengthen teaching management; establish specialized subject classrooms; strengthen class culture construction; set up a reasonable spatial layout with equipped relevant facilities.


The 2018th school anniversary academic report of Department of Education (National Institute of Schooling Reform and Development) (Part One)  was held successfully.
